Spoonr On the Making Of “Y2K Warning”

What inspired you to write the lyrics/music for "Y2K Warning?"

A feeling that since the 90s, globalisation hasn't quite been the panacea politicians would love us to believe it is. Remember the “Y2K Warning” at the turn of the millennium? Since then we've had a succession of little minuets about current one-dimensional so-called catastrophes, all lined up, one after another, to keep you in your place.

How did you work with the producer or engineers to bring your vision for "Y2K Warning" to life?

We do our own production with the help of the experts when needed. Nick did all the production on this track.

What did you enjoy most about about making this song?

The simplicity of the lyrical idea perhaps.

What do you enjoy most about performing live and connecting with your audience?

Making music on our own terms which hopefully connects with people.

Are there any upcoming projects or releases that you're particularly excited about?

2nd album 'World B' is in production for release in 2025.
