Riskee & The Ridicule “My Name”
Riskee & The Ridicule conducts such drastic power in the rebel and vocalization against capitalism. Shooting fire at mainstream sold-outs, proud to be underground. Riskee & The Ridicule makes music for the people, passing from the hands of the working class. Their music speak up for the hardworking people and their undeniable value being the rocks and stones of every industry. Riskee & The Ridicule makes no mistakes. Their punchy, angsty percussions are palpable with raw and unfiltered vocals dropping anthemic bombs and words of truth.
They aren’t just making music. They are making changes, speaking truth and unifying the underground. They are drastic in volume and of an unstoppable force—proud and loud, disillusioned and unapologetic. “My Name” punctures the brokenness and the ugliness of the capitalistic machine of the music industry, dug from the dirts with all the brutal honesty. It’s bombshells of rage and destruction, but unlike an otherwise depressive force and apocalyptic annihilation, their gritty aggressive formula of grime punk is a wake-up punch in your face—dizzy, but much needed. They are awakening and they are expanding.
Rhythm-driven and forceful. Disobedient, bleak but also optimistic—it comes from the realization and the action of taking back control. “My Name” has an emotive side and a brighter punk spirit, in contrast with its hardcore metallic front. Riskee & The Ridicule is hardcore. They are not about to swallow their words for any reason. They are here to say what they’ve seen and they are here to celebrate the power of underground music and the power of people.
“The song is two fingers up to backstab ears, self-righteous keyboard warriors and watered down punks,” said frontman Scott Picking. “It’s meant to punch you in the face if you need it, but it’s also a celebration of what the underground has done for music and what it’s capable of doing.”
“My Name” is taken from Riskee & The Ridicule’s forthcoming album Platinum Statue, out on Aug. 25, on the rise of extending their already bombastic sounds to the next level.
