Nina Helene Hirten is a phenomenal multi-media storyteller. Her passionate and visionary way of storytelling combines symbolism, narration, spirituality, emotions, reality, and fantasy with audiovisual media and results in a unique and immersive project, DEROSNEC.

Hirten discovered her passion for storytelling at a young age. From illustration, filmmaking, songwriting, novel writing, and music performance, she has immersed herself in a variety of art forms. Raised as an opera singer, storytelling through music is deep in her bones. She quotes influences from artists/bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Garbage, The Cure, The Black Queen, Billie Eilish, and David Bowie.

3 Lives opens with a multi-dimensionally stimulating “Tower.” As the first track of the album, “Tower” surely makes a strong statement. The storming track combines synth pop with dark wave where the gothic vocals are elegantly tucked into the modern production and heavy guitar distortion. The buzz and fries booming in the background create mind-expanding effects. The chorus marks a highlight in emotional intensity.

“Nighttime in the Desert” taps into the spiritual aspects of a wolf totem. With moonlight sound effects, the reoccurring melodic theme, and an intuitive drum machine, the track is mesmerizing and evocative. The feelings of the night, the desert, the calling, and freedom are all visually and sonically solidified.

“Save Me” dives deeper into the dark atmosphere and melancholy. Nina Helen Hirten has an unusually low register. Her voice brings tension and textual nuance into the storytelling in a way that’s unexpected and profound.
