Jaye Rsvd On the Making Of “inbound”

What was the creative process like for this particular track?

Once I finished making the instrumental I took a good 30 mins or so to vibe to it then I started recording things off the top of my head to get a basic structure for what I wanted. The final version is very similar to what I scatted out initially.

Was there any challenge that you encountered while making "inbound?"

Not really, this was one that came through me just like that. That’s what I love about creative processes, some things just come for you while you’re in your room or something. I love it.

What impact do you hope "inbound" will have on your audience?

I hope people will see the unorthodox style and maybe inspire others to try things with a different approach to whatever.

Can you pinpoint a specific moment when you realized you wanted to pursue music as a career?

I had to be in middle school once I taught myself how to play guitar. That was definitely when I realized I wanted this for life.

What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced as a musician, and how did you overcome them?

Time constraints. The only thing that doesn't stop moving is time and money and I’m just doing my best to keep up while I can. It's really a journey I’m not sure about overcoming the thing itself just more about being able to control what you can control and overcoming obstacles to slow you down because life keeps moving.
