HKH On the Making Of “Heart Knows Home”

What was the creative process like for this particular song?

“Heart Knows Home” was written a week before we were heading into the studio. We really put our heads together to work on an idea Matt (Drums) brought to the band, and turned out to be a step in a new direction for us.

Were there any memorable or standout moments during the recording sessions for "Heart Knows Home?"

Hearing the track back properly for the first time I think we realised we'd hit something special that we knew people needed to hear.

What impact do you hope "Heart Knows Home" will have on your audience?

We wanted to set the bar with this project by getting a professional recording as well as a music video done and hope that our audiences see how committed we are to making great content.

Can you tell us more about you as a band?

Arriving out of nowhere, HKH is already making a name for themselves in the South Wales circuit and beyond warming up big band line ups like with their explosive energy.

Our influences include early pop-punk bands, a healthy lifestyle and a good attitude.

This song is a homage to our hometown, Port Talbot, as well as an inspiring message to those seeking motivation from the environment they've been born into.

What role do you feel emotions play in your music, and how do you channel them into your performances?

Emotion and attitude are what create the foundations for HKH. We wouldn't be able to write the music we are writing if we weren't pouring every bit of ourselves into it.
