Divided On the Making Of “Quarantine”
What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "Quarantine?"
“Quarantine” was originally written and conceived as an idea during COVID lockdown, hence the name. The instrumental was there, but we didn’t have any lyrics. When Chris joined the band, we gave him the background of quarantine and he put kind of his own spin on it. He wasn’t in the band during lockdown, so the track became about mental health and feeling locked down within your own brain in a way.
Were there any memorable or standout moments during the recording sessions for this song?
Alex. When Alex first ripped his take for vocals, no one expected that sound to come out of him. It was brutal and epic.
What impact do you hope "Quarantine" will have on your audience?
Hopefully, it gets them hyped to see what comes next. We’re working on new stuff currently, so there are more tunes coming down the road.
What is your creative vision as a band?
We’re known for our live intensity.
If our vision was anything it’s: be brutal as fuck and put on the best live show conceivable.
How do you engage with your audience during your live performances to create a memorable experience for them?
We like to get in the crowd. We want to create an experience that people are going to be talking about for the next week.
