Carson Ferris On the Making Of “FOMO”

What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "FOMO?"

The idea behind “FOMO” was the idea that there are a lot of times in your life when you have to make decisions that will lead to missing out on something. And those decisions can be really hard to make.

How did you work with the producer or engineers to bring your vision for this song to life?

I worked with Mykyl as the producer on this song. He did an excellent job of making it sound exactly how I wanted. Fun fact: I recorded the vocals for “FOMO” in my basement.

What impact do you hope "FOMO" will have on your audience?

I hope that people can relate, and that they can have fun listening!

What has been one of the most significant moments of your musical journey so far?

One of the most significant moments in my music journey was when I started writing my own songs. For a while, I had been doing cover videos on my YouTube channel. In 2021 though, I started releasing recorded versions of songs I had written.

How do you maintain and take care of your voice? Are there any specific vocal techniques you use?

I always warm up before singing, and I am enrolled in private voice lessons to keep up my technique.
