What was the creative process like for this particular song?
I was in my bedroom with my beloved Guitar "Chiron" and a flood of emotions of unconditional love came through and the song was created in one long breathe, Guitar, Melody, Lyrics. There was no heavy thought process, just Heart...of course the mind was involved, but only as a mechanism to help the song come through via knowledge of chords and language. It was a gift.
Were there any challenges or breakthrough moments during the songwriting process for "Evolution of A Heart?"
No challenges or breakthroughs....Just Flow.
What impact do you hope "Evolution of A Heart" will have on your audience?
I'll let the audience decide that:) in the end they decide how it hits....I can share how the song has impacted me, it has been a reminder of that one time...Time was suspended...and I was in love..and love was in love with me.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in music?
I am a Songwriter from the Big Island of Hawai'i. My Mother was 62% Hawaiian and the rest Portuguese, She passed away on 9/9/2024...I have a great drive/fire in me to get the Music out for her and for my family...She loved music and sang to me from the day I was born, played Piano.. she had a way stronger voice and presence(Operatic Voice) She was a great inspiration/teacher and still is today..I started writing silly songs from a young age, but picked up my main instrument at 14, Guitar from Music Exchange My Mother bought the guitar for me, I still have it!
My Father is 100% Japanese, he played Ukulele!
I have an amazing Guitar teacher/Luthier/Mentor Jeremiah Augustine, he taught me how to learn by ear and shared his love for Metal and music with me...
