BEN SCOTT On the Making Of “Green Love”

What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "Green Love?"

I wanted to capture that feeling of new love and connection. It's like a sunny day in the park where everything feels possible. I drew inspiration from legends like Michael Jackson and Prince to create something that's both nostalgic and fresh.

What impact do you hope "Green Love" will have on your audience?

I hope "Green Love" makes people feel good. It's a song about embracing love and chasing your dreams. I want it to be that soundtrack for when you're feeling optimistic and ready to take on the world.

What did you enjoy most about making this track?

Collaboration was key. Working with so many talented people over six months was a wild ride, but it was worth it. Seeing everything come together was incredibly fulfilling.

Can you tell us more about you as an artist?

I've been playing since I was a kid, and I've been lucky enough to share stages with some amazing artists and musicians. My music is a mix of indie, rock, and folk—but I believe it's all about telling stories from the heart that resonate.

What do you enjoy most about performing live and connecting with your audience?

Live shows are absolutely my favorite part of what I do. There's nothing like connecting with people through music. Whether it's a house party or a big venue like the Viper Room (we'll be headlining April 12th at 9:30pm in honor of the release), it's always felt special. I love sharing my songs and seeing how it makes people feel.
