Artist Spotlight: Meet 2 Far Out
What was the creative process like for this particular EP?
Efraim Leo( the lead singer, songwriter and founder of the band ): We actually didn't really have a specific idea for this EP at the start so we just wrote every song individually and made sure we all liked it first.
After a few songs were done we started piecing everything together, came up with a fitting name and then we had an EP.
How did you work with the producer or engineers to bring your vision for 'Sucker For Heartaches' to life?
Well, that was a very easy task since we have our producer / fourth member of the band (Palle Hammarlund) in the studio. He and I (Efraim Leo) started and created the concept of 2 Far Out together.
So when it came down to putting out the debut EP, the sound of 2 Far Out was already in place.
Which song(s) from 'Sucker For Heartaches' do you think best represents your artistic vision?
All songs are a good representation of the band in different ways. But the first song that comes to mind, that also is a great first experience of 2 Far Out is definitely "What A Guy"
How did your band members initially come together?
Me and Palle met in a session to write this type of music for other artists but something clicked about 30 mins in to the session and we decided to start this band instead.
Jakob and Max got their spots through an audition that was held. A very interesting experience that led to something amazing.
Where do you find inspiration for your songs or musical ideas?
Listening to a bunch of great pop/punk tracks definitely helps alot for the inspiration. We love to write about stuff that people can relate to and that they can listen to when going through hard times. We always love bringing that old 90s / early 2000s energy back in our songs but with a modern twist so we are playing alot on nostalgia as well. Mostly, the inspiration comes from stuff we or people close to us have been through in the past. But sometimes we just have fun and write songs that has a specific creative idea behind them.
