Arav Goswami Releases “East from Sunday”
Argo and the Violet Queens are a new surrealist psychedelic rock band that takes influence from all eras of the Western musical cannon to create a cohesive sound that sonically explores themes of societal change, universal human struggles, and the importance of individual expression through art.
Argo and the Violet Queens are an avant-garde alternative recording project from Washington D.C. whose psychedelic grunge, influenced by 50s rock n roll, surrealism, and electronica, brings to mind Brian Eno’s mid 70s work as well as Berlin-era Bowie.
Their eclectic adventures in noise have been described as pensive, melancholic, and hopeful in equal measure.
