Billie Eilish Says Lana Del Rey’s ‘Born To Die’ Changed Music
Billie Eilish appeared on the recent episode of Dua Lipa’s At Your Service podcast. When asked about the albums she listened to while growing up and how the meanings differed between now and then, Eilish referred to Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die as the album that “changed music” especially “for girls.”
“Born to Die by my girl Lana. I feel that album changed music and especially changed music for girls and the potential of what is possible,” said Eilish in the podcast.
She then added Because the Internet by Childish Gambino as the album that “really, really changed how I viewed music and albums specifically.”
“Justen Bieber’s Believe, baby. That’s my shit. I can’t…Also Journals. Those are some great albums front to back, very, very good. Got to be honest, Wiped Out by The Neighbourhood,” the singer added.
Eilish is set to headline the Reading & Leeds festival this year. She will be playing the Main Stage East on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 10 p.m.
Recently, her track “What Was I Made For?” written for the Barbie soundtrack became her second UK chart-topper after 2020’s “No Time To Die” for the James Bond movie.
