The Street Flyers “It's All Good”
The Street Flyers’ music is one that you can fully sink into and becomes a sponge of its massiveness. Cinematic and picturesque, the boundary is there to be expanded, at least that would be the first impression of It’s All Good, but the real treasure deserves a few deeper digs under the surface.
The instrumental band The Street Flyers have planted many surprises in this album. It’s All Good is a fantastic mix of rock n roll, blues rock, surf rock, electronic, and ambient filled with masterful guitar licks, wicked soundscapes, and a heart-melting vibe.
The Street Flyers quote influences like Dick Dale, The Rippingtons, Daniel Lanois, Bill Frisell, Ry Cooder, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Aqua Velvets, Joe Satriani among others for this album. “Street Flyers” surprises us with a Californian, RHCP-sounding guitar work. Eclectic and laid-back.
“Crooked Ripples” feels like a soundtrack from Pulp Fiction, only it’s more extensive. Wicked guitar bends and slides take you to a world between the underworld and the one above, landing at a smoky blues bar in “Blues Take Two.” Road-worn, whiskey toasted, cathartic guitar solos and creative slide passages mixed into the sonic cocktail.
“Stuffed Red Van” and “Silverstone Road” continue the glorious blues-rock story lane where music is purer and more powerful than words with soaring twangs and country vibe mixed into a hypnotic remedy. “Barrel Road” and “It’s All Good” mark a shift in landscape, moving towards a coastal, Hawaiian atmosphere, and eventually concludes the album with four laid-back tracks of the salty wind.
