Punk Head: I love the eclectic blend of sonics in ‘We're Beautiful.’ Can you tell me more about the song?
Flexy: Oh nice, Thanks! Mmmmm, as a flexible artist or like you’d say, a versatile artist, I sometimes experiment with sounds, melodies and blend styles or genres in my creative state. ‘We’re beautiful’ is a pop and dance love song. A beautiful romantic story of two lovebirds, deeply in love with each other.
The song’s lyrics narrate and portray the desire, closeness, attraction, affection, friendship, simplicity, love and magic between the couple. As they both passionately and emotionally express their feelings and deep desires towards each other. Saying it’s exciting, wonderful and magical with us together. And together, WE’RE BEAUTIFUL!
While creating this song, I wanted it to have an instant catch that would mesmerizes the listener, with the song’s enchanting and smooth melody, progressive chilling and hyper sounds, the blend of pop and dance with a mix of synths and electronic sounds, accompanied by a soothing and powerful female vocal that harmonizes my male vocals. And I'm glad we achieved that!
The two-part vocals in this song harmonize in the swirl of a warm ocean that careens off as far as the eyes can see. This song portrays and gives the vibe and feel of a good time, a positive time, an upbeat time and you just can’t resist that urge to dance. The vibe makes you feel the depth and imminence of love and positivity. ‘We’re beautiful’ is a song you would love to add on the ‘good times’ playlist, to add some extra zest to the mix.
PH: What are the biggest challenges you have faced?
Flexy: Self-motivation while walking alone starting out as an artist, being the only one in the entire family who believed in my talents, capabilities, vision and dreams.
And being homeless and without shelter in the winter.
PH: And what kept you going during the hardest time?
Flexy: Music, Hope and Love.
PH: What would you quote as your biggest influence?
Flexy: ‘God’s word.’
