Twisted Rose On the Making Of “Wanted”
Can you tell us about the inspiration behind "Wanted" and the story it tells?
“Wanted" is a high-energy song accompanied by frontwoman Caro's signature vocals and the dynamic guitar riffs of Chris Bones that Twisted Rose is known for. The song skilfully combines catchy melodies with powerful lyrics about a woman who frees herself from the bonds of her tormentor. "Wanted" is intended to take a stand against oppression. The song is an inspirational anthem for anyone who has the courage to break free from victimhood and take control of their lives.
What was your favorite moment in making the music video?
The video for "Wanted" was the first time we worked with a professional stunt crew. It was very interesting to watch the preparations for the fire stunts. We generally had a lot of fun on this shoot, even though we sometimes froze our asses off :D
Have you noticed any particular interpretations or connections that listeners have made with "Wanted?"
We received an extremely wide range of reactions to "Wanted". Many people totally misunderstood our video and didn't understand the story behind the song straight away. The video was sometimes extremely polarizing, so that we felt a bit like Rammstein :D Even YouTube blocked the video at the beginning.
Is there a specific show that holds a special place in your band's history?
There are a few. Our show as the opener for GraveDigger in the Czech Republic in front of around 8000 people was a very special experience.
Are there any upcoming projects or releases that you're particularly excited about?
Oh yes! We have just shot the last video for the current album. The video for Crossing The Line will be released soon. We are also already back in the studio to record the next album. The new album will contain 14 songs. We also have some festival gigs, concerts and a small tour through Spain coming up this year.
