SIR-VERE On the Making Of “The Crazies”
Can you share any interesting or unique musical elements or production techniques used in "The Crazies?"
Big guitars were produced using vintage style saturation and the lots of lovely teletronix L2a compression. In fact, the whole Lovescope album which The Crazies is a part of used a lot of retro-style equipment to make it plump and juicy.
What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "The Crazies?"
The Spark was just how mad the world is especially with Covid the whole idea that we are all on drugs be it legal or not. We are all guinea pigs to these drugs hence we are the Crazies. Keep them drugged keep them down All the Crazies...
How does "The Crazies" fit into your overall artistic vision and what can listeners expect from you in the future?
Well, we very busy we have lots of releases lined up including a Re-issue of ‘Lovescope’ album. Via Worldsound//Virgin Music Group Jan 26th 2024. Another single Legion on 12th Jan 2024. Also we have a special Halloween release Psychotic Ambience (Works of Sir-vere Remixes Dead Spider) Oct 30th. It's a haunting film score journey which features versions of many Sir-vere tracks over the years. We are also working on re-issue of catalogue next year. Watch this space for exciting times ahead.
Can you tell us more about you as a band?
As a band we are a hybrid of all things Punk, Rock, Electronic & dirty Funk. We are a 4 piece act based out of Milton Keynes UK.
Are there any specific themes or messages that you aim to convey through your music?
We always tell little stories of our times we danced on the darkside of life but with moments of pure Fun mixed into it.
