SINGLE REVIEW: THIN ESCAPE “REWIND & REPEAT”

The idea of a catastrophe often brings perspectives to the world we are living in. “Rewind & Repeat” tackles the idea of living in an endless loop at the end of the world. Thin Escape invited you to imagine, really imagine, what would be the one thing that you most desire? Trimming down the complicated and struggles, what is the simple answer to your happiness?

Like a blissful bubble in the digitalized, modern world, “Rewind & Repeat” has the luscious, detached texture that matches the perfect, edgeless design. Yet at its core, the song preserves the hope and beauty in life that we all seek: simplicity and happiness.

“Rewind & Repeat” is a world you could stay in forever. It has loose, laid-back energy sitting unrealistically at the end of the world. A place where you could be who you are and dream your wildest dream.

Thin Escape is a music project by the artist Gar. From design to creation, to production, it is as indie as it could be. The name comes from its literal meaning — the idea of a barely successful escape. Like the music is an escape for Gar, it preserves the spirit.
