RXND On the Making Of “Battle Scars: A Beautiful Lie”

Is there a person/event that stimulated the creation of "Battle Scars: A Beautiful Lie?"

Yes. Myself. In the depths of physical and mental challenges, I faced a silent struggle with little to no support from most friends, and ended up concealing my pain and scars behind a facade. Capturing the essence of the journey of fighting my own demons and climbing metaphorical mountains “Battle Scars: A Beautiful Lie” became the anthem of this hidden struggle, capturing the view that we wear masks to shield our internal turmoil from the world. The art of resilience crafted in the shadows, a testament that even concealed and invisible struggles can lead to triumph. The song is a poignant reminder that, beneath the surface, everyone fights unseen battles, which in turn paints a beautiful tapestry of strength and survival.

Was there any challenge that you encountered while making "Battle Scars: A Beautiful Lie?"

Yes, certainly, serious vocal recording challenges arose because of my living situation at that time. The recording took place in early 2023, in a space where the room's acoustics were unfavorable.

How do you feel this 'Battle Scars: A Beautiful Lie' represents your artistic identity?

You could say that Battle Scars is sort of the living melody of my artistic identity. It painstakingly connects with my personal story, using the melodies to express raw emotions. The track mirrors my journey, representing my struggles and strength within. To me my tracks are far beyond just music, manifesting the core of myself. It's a powerful anthem that emotionally connects me and my art during a difficult time.

Can you tell us more about you as an artist?

I'm sculpting sounds solo outside of the cool winds of Oslo, Norway. Picture a blend of alt-rock, pop-punk, and emo among more, entwined with trap beats, rap rhythms, and explosive drums. My musical inspiration draws from Falling In Reverse, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Linkin Park, Sum 41, and more. My lyrics are drawn from personal narratives, experiences, and emotions, narrating them objectively to invite listeners on an immersive journey, creating a genre-defying experience that resonates with listeners on a deep, emotional level. I aim to tell tales in melodies that linger in the hearts of my audience.

When the stage comes alive, DANTE TK on guitar adds a vivid layer and a burst of energy. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. I dive deep into the art, handling the recording, editing, and visual magic of my music videos to this date. PS: Coming soon. The music is a narrative where every chord echoes a story waiting to unfold.
