What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "Sexcent?"
There truly was not a prior idea, we were feeling in the mood for creating, a riff was played and then we just kept going cause we liked it and felt inspired by it. Most of the lyrics were also made on the spot.
Were there any memorable or standout moments during the recording sessions for this track?
I feel like for this track in particular we were all very open to experiment with the sound, so “Sexcent” is probably our first song we did without trying to achieve any particular sound or preconception of what it should have been, so there was a lot of “wtf is that?!” Moments.
How does "Sexcent" fit into your overall artistic vision?
I think we all feel we needed a bit of a revamp sound wise and “Sexcent” gave us that, so it def was a good step into finding our own sound as a band.
Can you tell us more about you as a band?
It’s a very open question… but simplifying we are a pretty fun band to look at live and we love when people come to our shows and share our music 💋
What role do you feel emotions play in your music, and how do you channel them into your performances?
I feel that our emotions run and drive our live show, we use them as fuel, there’s so much that stores in your body on an everyday basis and having the opportunity to release all of that out with a good show is something we don’t take for granted. As in writing wise, music will always be a reflection of who we are and how we are feeling, in our case. Looking forward to reading your answers!
