Rokita “Cranial Euphoria”

“Music spurs imagination and emotions. Music has the ability to change our mood and help us get through the day.”—Rokita

Like many others, music plays an important role in Rokita’s life. Without it, life would look very different. Seeing how music has the ability to change one’s life, Rokita makes it his creative mission to inspire others. Sparks with spontaneity and euphoria, “Cranial Euphoria” is an expansive, mind-opening track with so much fire. Rokita’s unfiltered imagination poured into the tune. A little mystical even, “Cranial Euphoria” is like a dose of sonic cure that casts away the fear, the worries, the unhappiness, and the complaints, and leaves you with its pulsing, crystal beat and swirling, thriving sonics that take root in your heart like a seed. It stimulates all the good feelings and expands on that. It takes you for a dive beyond the obvious, inspiring you to open up your heart and mind.

“Cranial Euphoria” is sultry and mood-lifting. Rokita stirs the rock genres with his secret recipe of melody and instruments. Not limiting his songwriting to fit one specific genre or style, the artist focuses on the music itself and the magic it holds. “Cranial Euphoria” is magical, liberating, and tranquil. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly how Rokita manages to achieve that but it’s spreading from all directions.

It’s true that all Rokita’s music shares the same effort—no matter what the exact instrument he’s using, what melodies he’s singing, or what genre the track appears to be in, he opens a window and shines a light into your life. And that’s what music meant to him, and he aims to spread that joy and happiness to others. It’s like sonic medicine. Some music makes you think. Some music makes you cry. Rokita’s music heals and enlightens.

Read our interview with Rokita below, where we talk about the magic in in his music.

Punk Head: I love the expansive, sultry feel in “Cranial Euphoria.” It gives us a very special feeling. How would you describe the ethos of your music in general?

Rokita: I want my music to inspire and make people “feel good” after listening. That is my main purpose for creating music. With music I have a chance to have a positive influence on people, and for me that is very important. Also I am a big fan of 80s rock so you can tell where most of my influence for my music style comes from.

PH: Is there a message in “Cranial Euphoria?”

Rokita: The message is about how music is an important part of everyone’s life, without music life would be dull and boring. Music spurs imagination and emotions. Music has the ability to change our mood and help us get through the day.

PH: What inspired you to write this song?

Rokita: There was this awesome band back in the 80s call Triumph, and one of their songs was named “Magic Power.” This song was all about music and how the “Magic Power” of the music can change your mood. This song inspired me to make a modern day version of that song.

PH: Tell us one fun fact (could be about this project, about the band, or something happened in the past).

Rokita: Even though I grew up in the US, I have spent much of my time in Mexico working and visiting family. I love the Mexican culture! Food, family, fiestas, and of course the people.

PH: Tell us more about Rokita.

Rokita: Be on the lookout for more inspirational Rock styles music in the near future. Who knows, maybe a song in Spanish is not out of the question.
