Exploring storytelling while blending elements from multiple genres is quite characteristic of Geelens’ songwriting. With more than a handful of songs released, his music is free-spirited and never lacks inspiration.

The creative process of “Morning Light” spans a couple of years. Geelens first wrote part of the song in Rotterdam in 2017. He then circled back to finish the chorus at the beginning of 2019 while traveling to another Dutch city. After crafting the bones of the song, Geelens started to work with Nick Double. With the help from YIQI, who added the finishing touch in the mixing/mastering, “Morning Light” was eventually brought to life.
