Oliver Jordan On the Making Of ‘Songs in the Key of Crazy’

What was the creative process like for this particular 'Songs in the Key of Crazy?'

Fortunately, I'm in a crazy state of mind most of the time. And my subconscious is doing all the work anyway. I'm often surprised by what comes out in the end.

Were there any challenges or breakthrough moments during the songwriting process for 'Songs in the Key of Crazy?'

It's always a challenge. When you're recording you have to listen to your own voice a million times. It drives me nuts. I'm not Roy Orbison...

What are you most proud about 'Songs in the Key of Crazy?'

That it's finished. It's almost like an exorcism every time. And I really like the album cover. It captures the spirit of the songs perfectly, I think.

Was there a pivotal moment in your life when you decided to follow your path as a musician?

Music was my first love. And it will be my last...

Where do you find inspiration for your songs or musical ideas?

Inspiration is everywhere. Just by observing what we do to each other as humans. I think it's crazy.
