Munk Duane Releases “Random Acts of Blindness (2024 Remix)”

Boston based recording artist and film music composer Munk Duane, who was eligible for Grammy® consideration in the Best Pop Solo Performance category in the 66th Annual Grammy® Awards, will be releasing a brand new remix of his song “Random Acts of Blindness” ahead of this year’s awards, which he will be attending as a new member of The Recording Academy Class of ‘24.

The remix will be Munk’s second release with AWAL (Sony Music). Written, performed and produced by Munk Duane, the song was mastered by Brian Lucey at Magic Garden Mastering, Los Angeles, who worked on Grammy® winning releases for The Black Keys, Lizzo, the soundtrack to “The Greatest Showman”, and more.

Munk explains, “It was time to give this song a new life. ‘Random Acts of Blindness’ was the lead-off single from my 2015 album ‘Argue With Gravity’ which was a showcase of my Soul and R&B roots that I have proudly worn on my sleeve since the original release. The topic is still as poignant today as it was at the time, calling out social media keyboard warriors who perpetuate knee-jerk reactionary statements devoid of provable, factual evidence and take no real-world action, despite their soapbox ramblings.”

Munk Duane has also been busy composing for film and television, contributing to the Extreme Music library, the production music arm of Sony Music Publishing, and Pitch Hammer Music, movie trailer music house for Disney, Marvel and more. Learn more at MunkDuane
