Kwolek Releases “Some Evenings”

Is there a particular ethos behind the single/EP/album or any particular music styles or events that inspired it?

I’ve recently been inspired by Richard Dawson’s story-driven songs, which led me to create my own detailed lyrical narratives paired with an 80s/90s-inflected alt/wave sound.

Can you briefly describe what the song/each song is about?

"Some Evenings" is about a person who is bored in their day job "designing graphs and charts in some neutral/awful office park" and has begun spending nights exploring new ways to feel a "touch more than indifference". The b-side, "Pink Places" is stomper about late-stage capitalism, what fun!

What are the band's main influences?
