Kid Mammoth Releases ‘Past, Present, Future’
“This release is a collection of my favorite six songs pulled from over 125 song sketches I wrote before and during the pandemic. I tried to simply make the exact kind of music that I would want to listen to and want to play live.” - KERRY HENDERSON
Recorded in various locations, Kerry sang vocals in his closet and recorded guitars in his home in Los Angeles, CA. During a pandemic, sometimes the closet vocal booth is all ya got. Drums were mostly recorded at Dean's warehouse studio called “The Ward Hilton” in Youngstown, OH. Eric recorded additional guitars from home. Bass was recorded by Seth at his home studio in Cleveland and likewise by Chris in San Diego.
Kid Mammoth was formed when front man, Kerry Henderson, began to write songs as a side project. Kid Mammoth got its name when Kerry wrote the song “Kid Mammoth.” He played the song for one of his friends, and that guy commented “Cool song, and it would make a good band name.” Kid Mammoth the band was born. Thanks, friend!
The music melds inspirations from 2000s indie rock with harmonized vocals, 1970s southern rock dueling guitar lines, and some Ohio grit.
