Kent Dustin Releases “Impress You”
Kent Dustin announces his eagerly awaited single “Impress You.” This track showcases Dustin's signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and genre-blending soundscapes, making it a standout addition to his musical repertoire.
“‘Impress You’ emerged as I explored investment strategies for money, but during the songwriting process, I pondered how I could impress a lover by investing my efforts into doing everything and anything for them, like getting their name in a heart tattoo. This lyric from the second verse inspired the merch design as well,” says Dustin.
Kent Dustin is celebrated for capturing profound moments of human connection and emotion in his music. His indie-alternative soundscapes encourage listeners to find beauty in the mundane, choose optimism, and build a life enriched by 'little moments.'
“I believe we get one shot at life and often spend our time and energy on things that don't truly celebrate what it means to be human. Whether it's a flirty interaction that makes your heart flutter, waking up and choosing optimism, or realizing you can trust someone else in a relationship after previous hurt—if my writing connects with people because it resonates with those little moments that mean so much but are often overlooked, then I'm fulfilling my role as an artist,” Dustin explains.
Produced by Robby De Sa and Nick Zaharias, and crafted by Kent Tonscheck (soloist, singer-songwriter, guitar, drum pad, looping), the Kent Dustin project has been making waves throughout 2023. Following several releases, including a duet titled I’d Miss You More with musician Tesh Batkins, Dustin is preparing for a forthcoming EP featuring a raw-acoustic atmosphere that highlights his poetic skills and emphasizes the significance of narrative and the small moments in life.
