KAYBLE On the Making Of “True Love is Truly Dead”

Can you tell us about the inspiration behind "True Love is Truly Dead" and the story it tells?

“True Love is Truly Dead” is intended to be a statement that represents the hopelessness and loss one would feel after losing a loved one. I wrote this song during a breakup, because I thought well if something that healthy still didn't work out, then there's no hope.

Were there any memorable or standout moments during the recording sessions for "True Love is Truly Dead?"

Making the demo and just running away with all the harmonies in the chorus was what helped me know that this was a song I had to release. I think the guitar parts in the bridge are sick and I was so happy when I recorded that in, because I don't play guitar that often anymore - but the parts work so well!

How does "True Love is Truly Dead" fit into your overall artistic vision?

This song encapsulates everything I've built so far, I feel like you can hear little parts of all my previous songs in this one - it feels like a moment in my career where I have refined my sound and made it even better.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in music?

My name is KAYBLE, I write music for when you're in your feels, after party vibes and late night drives. I've always wanted to do something to help other people and I suppose this is my way of doing it! I got started in music by learning an instrument after many hours of watching bands on YouTube and then forming a band with my close mates in College. Haven't really stopped since!

Who are some of your biggest musical influences, and how have they impacted your own sound?

Oasis was the band that got me into music, Muse was the band that made me want to perform and Radiohead was the band that made me want to compose. Quadeca and Amber Run are artists that inspire my production style. I love having a mix of everything, I feel it provides me with a unique sound.
