Hothead Wave Releases “Here”

Is there a particular ethos behind the single/EP/album or any particular music styles or events that inspired it?

At this point in my life, I just want to make music that I love. It is my most authentic project.

Can you briefly describe what the song/each song is about?

‘"Here" is about a relationship dynamic where you don’t feel seen or heard. I wanted this song to be upbeat and have a demanding tone, rather than melancholy and slow. I wanted the question “Can I be here...?!’ to be rhetorical.

Where was the single/EP/album recorded and who was involved in its production?

It was recorded at my home studio and at Ocean Way Nashville. I wrote and produced the song. Austin Atwood engineered and mixed the song. Wolf Robinson was the assistant engineer. Drums by Miles McPherson. Guitars by me and Sol Philcox-Littlefield. Bass by Ethan Pilzer.

Who are the band members and what do they play?

Lizzy Cruz, I play sing, guitar, write and produce Hothead Wave.

Please provide a one or two-line personal quote that can be attributed to a band member, about either the band themselves or the release. Obviously the more eye-catching this is the better.

"So excited to be making music I love! I hope the honesty comes through and people relate to it"
