Hele “Air Between Us”

Soft, ever-shifting soundscapes feels like the silky clouds above your head or the first ray of sun in the humid air. Sensitive, immersive, and filmic, “Air Between Us” is an ode to nomadic existence. There’s something really powerful embedded in Richelle Kuhlmann’s music. It’s the space between sounds and the pause between words that communicates you on a deeper level. Sometimes, the most effective communications don’t necessarily involve words. They can be vague, obscure or poetic. “Air Between Us” feels like a deep gaze, an impression, an understanding and a deeper connection that reaches from one soul to another.

Hele’s music breathes humidity and nourishment. The beautiful strings that rise from those sensitive, intuitive soundscape are deeply emotive and touching. It illuminates with earthy energy, yet it expands to the aspect of nature that is spiritual and magical.

“Air Between Us” feels like a gentle hug or a mother hand stroking down your hair. It’s nurturing and healing but there’s history and the immense connection. The track evokes a non-linear storytelling that is evolving and changing at every minute yet it remains still. The atmospheric texture feels very literal to the track’s title, but the air between us is a simple phrase that has a thousand different interpretations.

The music feels intense at times, while it’s also thought-provoking, reflective, and uplifting. It has so many different shades that intrigue you while gently cleansing your soul in a nature-surrounded nomadic lifestyle.

There’s something new happening in every second of the music though the instrumentation or arrangement itself isn’t necessarily different.
