Can you tell us about the inspiration behind "Sleepwalking With The Dead ft. 7evin7ins" and the story it tells?

Alex Pearson from Hands Like Houses and I wrote "Sleepwalking with the Dead" during a really dark period, where I was searching for a sense of normalcy amidst chaotic thoughts. We felt the song needed another perspective, so we brought in 7evin7ins, who absolutely nailed it!

Being the songwriter, producer, and vocalist, how did you approach creating this song? Did it start with a beat and then vocals/melodies after, vice versa?

When I create, I always start with the music because it sets the vibe for everything else. Then, I work on the vocal melody and finally, the lyrics. It's like building a story—it needs the right foundation before the words can really come to life. I record everything in my own studio to make sure the performance captures the emotion just right.

What impact do you hope this song will have on your audience?

When I'm making music, I don't think about the impact it will have—it's more about letting the creativity flow naturally. Of course, I hope listeners connect deeply with the music, melody, and lyrics. That connection is what makes it all worthwhile.

Can you share a memorable experience from a collaboration that enriched your music?

Collaborating with my friend Bobby Raps, who's been nominated for a Grammy, was incredible. He taught me how to write quickly and get out of my own head, letting the lyrics and melodies come naturally. It was a real eye-opener and enriched my approach to making music.
