Feature: Fabbro di Chiavi Decodes ‘Intangible part I’
What was the creative process like for this particular 'Intangible part I?’
'Intangible' stemmed from observing the chaos of everyday life, a sea of information without clear direction. Exploring stoic philosophy provided a perspective on navigating complexity. The toughest part was adapting these principles into tunes, aligning keys, modes, and atmosphere on paper for each. I record and write whenever an idea strikes, maintaining an archive for a bigger picture.
Was there any challenge that you encountered while making 'Intangible part I?’
Crafting 'Intangible Part I' presented diverse challenges, necessitating a split into two parts. Collaborators like drummer Sascha Kaisler, keyboardist Ariel Perchuck, and mix and mastering engineer Dirk at acsy.sound overcame hurdles in rhythmic precision, color palette expansion, and production. I could not make it without their support. The EP stands as a testament to passion, collaboration, and pushing musical boundaries.
How does 'Intangible part I' fit into your overall artistic vision and what can listeners expect from you in the future?
‘Intangible Part I' is a significant step forward, centering the guitar in a narrative-driven progressive project. Deeply involved from concept to composition, it's a deliberate act of creation. Looking ahead, ‘Intangible Part II’ will explore new dimensions within my artistic expression. Stay tuned for more musical adventures on the horizon.
What sources of inspiration do you draw from when composing? Are there particular artists, genres, or life experiences that influence your work?
Inspiration comes from a wide range of music, blending freedom with the guitar and intensifying compositions with life experiences. Channeling these experiences into music is both a motivating and a powerful means of expressing and simplifying complex thoughts.
Are there specific musical elements or techniques you enjoy experimenting with to create something fresh and innovative?
Experimenting by blending classical guitar with rock, my aim is a unique fusion that incorporates orchestral elements too. Following the release of Light and Heavy, the goal is to cultivate a symphonic-rooted sound, allowing guitars to evolve for an innovative musical experience.
