Feature: Electric High Decdoes ‘Colorful White Lies’

How does 'Colorful White Lies' reflect your musical journey and growth as a band?

Good question! There is a quite large time span from the first to the latest recordings on this album, almost two and a half years, and of course, a lot of things happen over a certain period of time. We changed our drummer and went back and forth between the two producers, we also got set back by the pandemic.  What I'm hoping is possible to hear is that the electric energy is even more boosted on the latest contributions to the record, and I think we are closer to a more fully casted form now, something you will witness when we release our next album.

How did you work with the producer or engineers to bring your vision for this album to life?

Both producers Daniel Birkeland and Iver Sandøy have shown great patience and heard us through all our references to each track and even each part of each track. They both added dirt allowance on their invoices. All the way from the demos presented by PV to after it's too late, there are discussions around ideals and references on every track.

Can you talk about any standout tracks on the album and what makes them special to you?

For me personally that would be "Wasted." This band has been a lot about partying and Wasted sums it all up pretty good. To me, this is the missing Aerosmith tune with a touch of good old Bon Scott.

Where do you find inspiration for your songs or musical ideas?

PV who writes most of the songs is all about music. He has been a professional musician for ages and is performing as much as the Beatles did in Hamburg. God knows how his brain works, but he always has a new song to present and it's always the best song ever written. I only know two people who overdosed so much on music that they claim to hate all music, and PV is one of them:-)

How do you engage with your fans, both online and at live performances?

We love to engage with our fans, especially live. With two lead singers and a tight trio behind them, it feels like we can offer a truly unique energy from the stage, it is well worth the tickets!
