Darling Black Releases “Dial”

Can you briefly describe what the song/each song is about?

“Dial” is about only getting to what you love most for a brief period of life and the deep joy of engaging the act. For Dylan, this is performing live.

Where was the single/EP/album recorded and who was involved in its production?

The track was written, produced and mixed by Dylan in her studio.

Have you played any notable gigs, festivals or other events? Likewise radio or TV appearances?

As Lulu Lewis, Dylan has supported Richard Lloyd, Shilpa Ray and Gene Loves Jezebel. She has been hosting Salon Lulu, an artist residency founded by Lulu Lewis which hosts events featuring authors, photographers, video artists, poets and other musical artists. Notable participants include Julia Gorton, Godlis, Steve Blush and Bob Bert.

Are there any other interesting or amusing happenings – no matter how small – that the band have been involved with that would be of interest to those who like your music?

Lulu Lewis will be at The Meadowlark festival in Upstate New York in September along with Blonde Redhead.

Please provide a one or two-line personal quote that can be attributed to a band member, about either the band themselves or the release. Obviously the more eye-catching this is the better.

I hope to bring a sense of joy, fun, sex, mood and lust to anyone tuning in.
