Cole. On the Making Of “This Is All A Dream”
What was the creative process like for this particular song?
I wrote it sitting at my desk with Logic fired up and I was just trying out melodic lines that stuck! In the studio, we developed the middle 8 with the band, and turned the distortion pedals on.
What impact do you hope "This Is All A Dream" will have on your audience?
I really do not have any expectations, there's a sea of music out there and mostly people are fed what they listen to, so I'll just see how it goes and put some more music out.
What was your favourite moment in making the music video?
The best part of this video was being on the Alexandra Estate - an architectural masterpiece.
Can you tell us more about you as an artist?
I coach children football pretty much 7 days a week and I fit the music in when I can! It's really a labour of love; you have to love doing it and fortunately I do love writing/recording and performing. I literally do not have anything else I do other than work and eat/exercise/sleep. It's a no-option thing for me - I just gotta do it.
How do you maintain and take care of your voice? Are there any specific vocal techniques you use?
Mainly, I try and sing every day to keep my vocals warmed-up. I try not to smoke or shout! I have some vocal warm-ups saved in my phone, but I tend to forget they are there!
