Chris Wirsig Releases ‘Real Murders - Music from the True Crime Series’

LOS ANGELES, CA – When murder cases are investigated in Atlanta, chances are that “The Real Murders Of Atlanta,” one of the most successful true crime series these days, is there, documenting every detail of each case. And when you watch the series on Oxygen, you hear the music of Chris Wirsig, whose tension building tracks have been licensed in this year’s second season to keep the suspense factor high.

Now some of Wirsig’s music from the first 10 episodes is available on all streaming services. A sonic feast for fans of film music and true crime…

Chris Wirsig is an award-winning composer, songwriter and producer, who enjoyed classical training on piano and saxophone, studied audio engineering at SAE Technology College, and has more than 20 years experience in music production. His music can be heard in the award-winning documentary series "Halloween Obsessed," the vampire feature "The Things We Cannot Change," several short movies, the comedy feature “39 And A Half,” as well as in games like the acclaimed Top Ten iPad game “Alien Tribe 2,” and in numerous TV shows on ABC, E!, MTV, History, Oxygen, Fox Sports, and many others. Current and upcoming projects include the pilot for an LGBTQ+ animated comedy series, “Be More Popcorn,” the cyberpunk boxing drama “Steel Will,” a tech-horror series pilot, “Glitch,” and charity projects with cover versions of Depeche Mode's "People Are People" with 36 musicians and singers, and a Heavy Metal version of the Ukrainian National Anthem benefitting the Red Cross.

On the songwriting/producing side, Chris started the acclaimed Electro Pop/Dark Wave band no:carrier in 1995 and the Electronica/Chill-Out project Virtual Conformity in 2001, as well as several side projects. He’s also co-writing and producing songs with other artists and songwriters like Psyche, Lori Barth, Briana Cash, Daniel E. Wakefield, Liza Marie Sparks, Queen Chameleon, The Dust Ryde, echoekill, and many others.

Chris is a Board Member and the SongArts chair of the Society Of Composers and Lyricists, as well as a member of the Television Academy, the Recording Academy, and the Production Music Association.
