Blak Emoji Releases ‘Antidote [Deluxe Edition]’

Blak Emoji’s ‘Antidote [Deluxe Edition]’ is out October 6th on ECR Music Group along with its new bonus track, “Home Computer.” The album has been restored and remastered by indie-music luminary and ECR founder Blake Morgan, as part of a four-part full catalog reissue from the label.

Blak Emoji is the nom de plume of acclaimed New York City producer, recording artist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Kelsey Warren.

“’Home Computer’ is one of my favorite Kraftwerk tracks from their Computer World album,” explains Warren. “It's a tribute to a band who heavily inspired me and countless other musicians sonically. I also felt covering this particular track for Antidote made sense since it fits hand in glove within the album's theme: one that feels like an apocalyptic movie score, and the movie’s our bizarre reality.”

Warren was first immersed in Soul, R&B, and Pop music growing up in South Jersey, but after his rigorous music studies learning piano concertos and Jazz-guitar standards led him to Electronic music, Hip-hop, and Punk, he found himself drawing on new influences ranging from Nine Inch Nails to Björk, and from Prince to Kraftwerk. These diverse-but-intertwined influences are represented clearly throughout his distinguished recorded catalog––a catalog ECR Music Group is now remastering and reissuing in full.
