A/V CLvB Releases “Cellar Door”
Is there a particular ethos behind the single/EP/album or any particular music styles or events that inspired it?
This song was written at a time where Avery was in a deep obsession with Donnie Darko for a week and wanted to make a song titled "Cellar Door." The demo originally included audio from the movie, but was taken out in the final version.
Can you briefly describe what the song/each song is about?
The lyrics of Cellar Door tell the story of a relationship filled with disloyalty, materialism, and deceit, and the toxicity found on both sides.
Where was the single/EP/album recorded and who was involved in its production?
Cellar Door was recorded at Quiethouse Recording, and engineered and mixed by Dereck Blackburn.
How and where did you get together?
Avery and Braeden first met through a high school music class, and Avery offered Braeden to join the band he was starting up on bass. After one show and a massive lineup change, Braeden took over the lead guitar. Avery invited his childhood friend Noah to learn bass to join the band, which he did. The three of us then found Cameron through another band in the area, and the band was complete.
Have you played any notable gigs, festivals or other events? Likewise radio or TV appearances?
We have played a variety of DIY and club venues in the South Shore area.
