Malmo, June 2024 – Astro-Lloyd, the acclaimed alternative rock band, is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated EP, ‘Let's Get Weird.’ This new collection of four tracks showcases Astro-Lloyd's unique sound and artistic growth, offering listeners a fresh and immersive musical experience.

‘Let's Get Weird’ features four distinct tracks, each thoughtfully crafted to resonate with fans and new listeners alike. The EP explores a wide range of themes and inspirations, blending various genres to create a sound that is both innovative and true to Astro-Lloyd's roots. These tracks were initially intended for their second album, ‘LOUD NOISES,’ released in summer 2024, but stood out as too unique to fit within the album, thus inspiring a separate EP.

Astro-Lloyd says, "We're incredibly excited to share this EP with the world. Each track tells a story and represents a piece of our journey. They're a bit more 'weird' than our usual stuff, hence the name 'Let's Get Weird.'"

The EP includes the lead single, "Cowboy," described as Astro-Lloyd in a punk rock costume. This poppy punk rock track sets the tone for the EP, which also features "23.19," a proggier track that still retains the core Astro-Lloyd sound, "Dolph," inspired by Queens of The Stone Age with a stoner/grunge vibe, and finish the EP with an alternative electronic version of their old song ”Speedracer”, orignial version first released on ther debut album ‘Astro Life’ in 2017.

Astro-Lloyd is all about the love of music. Constantly seeking ways to expand their musical horizons, the band draws inspiration from a wide array of genres to create a unique sound and deliver energetic live performances. Major influences include Biffy Clyro’s experimental spirit, Foo Fighters’ arena anthems, topped with the energy of bands like The Hives and Royal Republic. Their music is best experienced live, aiming to engage the audience and encourage dancing like no one is watching. Why have a gym membership when you can get your workout at an Astro-Lloyd show? Dance to music you didn't think you could dance to.
