What inspired you to write the lyrics/music for "Taste of Love?"

Taste of Love was inspired by the concept of "the one that got away" or unrequited love... not quite unrequited but someone who gave you a taste then never showed more… it's inspired by the invisible nature of love how it can seem fleeting even within relationships, yet how real and necessary it is.

What do you like the best about "Taste of Love?"

I like the uptempo nature it feels closer to influences I grew up on such as Bob Dylan and Tom Petty than a lot of my other songs. I also like the prosody of how the synth parts mimic that opening line "the bees were buzzin and I was feelin like myself again..." I'm always a big fan of great prosody in music.

What impact do you hope this song will have on your audience?

As a musician and artist, you hope people will connect with the music and find it relatable to their experiences... with “Taste of Love” I also hope the music is emotionally uplifting and becomes a staple of a beautiful summer drive with the wind in your hair with your love.

How do you approach collaborations with other musicians or artists?

Collaborations with other musicians sort of just happen naturally so far... it's usually with musician friends or people I already know well and vibe with. I haven't really done any collabs with artists I don't know personally yet, but manager types say that's a good idea to "broaden your audience"... we'll see what happens I guess...

How do you continuously grow and evolve as an artist?

I try my best to be brutally honest with myself regarding quality and not do the same things twice, always experiment with the writing process, trying new things, etc... I also spend quite a bit of time reading up on some of my musical heroes which is always a source of inspiration and growth.
