Antagoniör On the Making Of ‘DCxPC Live & Dead Vol. 4’

Can you share any interesting or unique musical elements or production techniques used in 'DCxPC Live & Dead Vol. 4?'

We recorded the "Dead" side ourselves in our practice space. Danger Room Recording Service did all the mixing magic. As for the "Live" side, that was our first time doing a live recording on anything other than a cellphone.

What has been one of your most favorite memories along the path to making 'DCxPC Live & Dead Vol. 4?'

Sarah managed to smoke a joint passed to her by the audience while playing guitar during NA. It nearly ruined the song, but it was worth it!

How does 'DCxPC Live & Dead Vol. 4' fit into your overall artistic vision?

We have plenty of witty stage banter, so having a live recording highlights our shit talking abilities.

Can you walk us through your creative process when writing and composing music?

Our lyrics are inspired by the dystopian circumstances we are currently living in in the US. We are all over worked and underpaid, our human rights are being targeted by law makers, people are dying left and right from gun violence, and racism, homophobia, and misogyny are running rampant. A lot of anger and hatred is channeled in our songs. Sarah generally writes the riffs and lyrics first, and then everything else comes together with the other members pretty effortlessly. We work very well together to write songs.

Can you share an instance where you felt a strong connection with the crowd during a show?

Watching a bunch of girls mosh during the recorded live set was cool.
