ANNAKYE On the Making Of “Ocean”

What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "Ocean?"

The initial spark for "Ocean" came from a personal experience of being by the ocean on the central coast during a storm, which inspired the idea of using the ocean as a metaphor for the turbulence of life and emotions.

Can you share any interesting or unique musical elements or production techniques used in "Ocean?"

We all come together with ideas and sounds. But so much magic happens when we give the track to Brent Kolatalo in New York he just puts the cherry on top and we couldn't be more happier with what he does.

What did you enjoy most about making "Ocean?"

What I enjoyed most about making "Ocean" was the collaborative process with our bandmates, experimenting with various sounds, and watching the song evolve into something greater than we initially envisioned.

Can you tell us more about you as a band?

Our band is a tight-knit group of musicians with diverse backgrounds and influences. We believe in creating music that resonates with deep emotions and draws from a wide range of genres.

What do you enjoy most about performing live and connecting with your audience?

Performing live allows us to connect with our audience on a profound level. We cherish the energy exchange, the shared moments, and the way music can bring people together in a powerful and transformative way.
