Amanda Stone Releases “Overdose”

New single by Amanda Stone takes you for a wild ride through love’s ecstatic overwhelm.

Hyperpop meets Dance-punk in a roadside motel. They steal a ‘69 candy-red Mustang and speed into the night like a modern-day Natural Born Killers. Cue the soundtrack for such a scene, and it’s Amanda Stone’s new single, “Overdose.” Having teamed up with veteran producer Gregory Lattimer (Albert Hammond Jr., The Strokes, John Strohm), Sonte’s powerful track record of singles has landed her on hundreds of Spotify user playlists, college radio charts, and has seen her named an ‘artist to watch’ by FLAUNT Magazine.

“Overdose” is haunting, hypnotic, and hook-driven. Stone utilizes a deadpan, Lou Reed-esque lyrical delivery, as a pulsating bass line and driving beat crash into an anthemic chorus.

What does it mean to overdose on love? We can all relate to the overwhelming nature of love and its addictive qualities. Stone’s new single takes this theme to theatrical heights, as she experiences queer and true love for the first time.

Propelled by a cinematic exploration of the gray area between persona and identity, “Overdose” is the first of many exciting new releases leading up to the unveiling of Stone’s debut album.
