Aboukir On the Making Of “Alright”

What was the creative process like for this particular "Alright?"

I think what came up first was the bassline, I fooled around with it for a while and then started building the song around it. The guitar riff came in next bringing a Creedence vibe.

How do you feel "Alright" represents your artistic identity?

I don't know if it represents my whole artistic identity, but it certainly shows my love for soft and warm harmonies.

What has been one of your favorite memories along the path to making "Alright?"

I wrote this song when I was pretty down, but I knew it would be alright eventually!

Where do you find inspiration for your songs or musical ideas?

Usually, inspiration comes from other people's music that really moves me. This time it came from emotions I had to express.

Are there any upcoming projects or releases that you're particularly excited about?

I'm very excited about the release of my upcoming album, the second album under my 'Aboukir' moniker, and playing it live with a newfound band!
