A Sudden Burst of Colour On the Making Of “Vertigo Season”

Can you share any interesting or unique stories or perspectives in "Vertigo Season?"

"Vertigo Season" was the first track we crafted after the initial COVID-19 lockdown in Scotland, coinciding with a former member leaving the band. Surprisingly, it came together quite rapidly, with the core structure forming in just about three hours. For us, this track embodies the instinctual creation of music and the sheer enjoyment we derive from it.

What has been one of your favorite memories along the path to making "Vertigo Season?"

One of our standout memories in the making of "Vertigo Season" is just how swiftly it all came together. From the initial riff to the final mix, we reached the finish line more rapidly than our typical process. Additionally, we had the opportunity to experiment with some new recording hardware, which is always enjoyable.

Are there any future plans or projects related to "Vertigo Season" that you're excited about?

We have some exciting plans related to "Vertigo Season," but they're currently under wraps. You'll find out more very soon.

How is the music scene in Motherwell?

In terms of original music, the music scene in Motherwell isn't particularly vibrant. Glasgow serves as the closest hub for music in the region. Nevertheless, Motherwell and its vicinity are home to numerous talented musicians. The broader Lanarkshire area has a rich musical history, and we'd love to see a thriving local music scene emerge.

Can you tell us more about you as a band?

We've been making music since 2013, creating a sound that broadly falls under rock but is heavily influenced by the rhythmic patterns of 4/4 'dance' music. Our approach to music is purely instinctual, and we never enter a writing session with preconceived notions. While we've mostly operated as a studio band recently, we've had the opportunity to tour the UK several times, with multiple dates in Europe. "Vertigo Season" represents a sort of rebirth for the band, and we're eagerly anticipating what's on the horizon.
