ReHumanise “Elemental”

Wrapped in streams of signals, ReHumanise’s vocal presents something ritual and primal. “Elemental” delivers an emotive experience engaging directly with the digitalized sonic environment that seems like the micro reflection of our current world. ReHumanise taps into the ideation and visualizations with a poetic manner that feels graceful and compassionate. “Elemental” again features his signature big drums and hypnotic riffs that seem like the reoccurring theme in ReHumanise’s music, however, the core of his music always trace back to the human experience and primal emotional storytelling in the form of a chant or scream.

Within those evocative and nostalgic melodic riffs, ReHumanise creates an atmosphere so rich and deep. It reminds you of Radiohead in a way, especially the way the multi-instrumentalist and producer engages with multiple elements and genre-fluid influences at all once with a sense of experimentation and discovery. On the other hand, his electric guitar-inspired funky, electro riffs vaguely reminds you of the work of Johnny Marr from The Smiths. The imaginative expansion that dives deeper and deeper within a track also seems to echoes the direction where Marr is going with his solo project.

In 2021, ReHumanise dives into a world music sensational double release “Love you Wake” and “Are You Warm.” His recent release goes into a completely new direction. Earlier, “Hu Man” and “We Are Strong” also proves to alternate between world and deep electronics. It feels like the two seemingly entirely different genre has something in common and ReHumanise has found the melting point that so beautifully combine both experience into his own art making.

In his most recent release, “Elemental,” listeners can hear how the two different forces coexist and interact where the boundary seems non-existing. It’s a truly liberating blossom in music that remains timeless.
