Punk Head: I like the eclectic soundscape in “Trick Of The Heart.” Can you tell me more about “Trick Of the Heart”?

New Yank Yorkies: The band is ‘old school and proud of it.’ We do straight ahead guitar rock in the vein of say The Faces or Tom Petty. ‘Trick of the Heart’ follows that line. Driving rhythm section, guitars doing their thing, and solid lyrics and vocals.

PH: What are you most proud about this track?

NYY: We're proud of all our tracks mainly because it's such a challenge to get all the members in the same room at the same time to make our music. All the members individually keep pretty busy schedules touring and recording for multiple artists.

PH: What motivates you as artists?

NYY: At this point it's usually cash...but all the members of the band have made a life out of music..so..what motivates us? Making music...cash is good too.

PH: Who are your biggest influences?

NYY: Too many to say...We are all influenced by all kinds of music and artists from rock to folk to country to jazz.

PH: What is the one thing that you’d like your fans to know about you?

NYY: That's a secret.
