5 Q&A With Something Wicked
What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "Stop Reproducing?"
Many of my friends and family have started having kids in the last handful of years, leading me to think about the nature of being a parent. People are having kids without thinking about the selfless commitment that entails, or *should* entail, which in turn creates unhealthy dynamics between parent and child. There's also many people who have kids not from any desire to be a parent, but from the societal expectation that having a child is just the next part of life. I guess overall, I just want people to think more about having children before they do so we can have healthier and happier people.
Were there any memorable or standout moments during the recording sessions for this song?
We recorded this song and 7 others for our debut album DECEASED (out April 26th, 2024) in one night. I had to move away from our area for a little while and we weren't sure what was going to happen with Something Wicked. We wanted to document everything we had accomplished up to that point.
Can you describe the emotions or feelings you hope this single evokes in listeners?
Anger at irresponsible parents while encouraging some critical thinking of one's own thoughts regarding parenthood.
Can you tell us more about you as a band?

We're angry and you should be too.
