5 Q&A With If We Last

Is there a person/event that stimulated the creation of this 'Undressed?'

‘Undressed’ describes the falling in love and living apart story of young adults - like we are. It tells about different parts and periods in a deep connection. All of the songs describe situations in our lives and how we feel about it.

Can you talk about the recording and production process for this 'Undressed?'

At least it took us six months to produce and record this ep. The idea of the main track “Undressed (Fallin in Ur Bed)” was born in October 2022. The first track written on the ep was “Forget This.” It’s the first and the only song Vinzenz (bass player) also has a main part to sing. It’s also the first track Nils and Vinzenz wrote together in May 2022.

Part by part the songs were written by singer Nils, who went through hard days.

It was a creative and funny time to record those songs and a good feeling to finally show them.

What is your personal favorite song from 'Undressed' and why?

Our favorite song is clearly “Undressed.”

It’s also the last song at our shows. The people love this song, they can sing along but also escalate in the guitar part.

We think it’s the most emotional and catchy track on the ep.

Can you tell us more about you as a band?

If We Last means distorted guitars and a powerful bass sound framed by a big drum firework.

We are more than just a pop-punk band. We see ourselves as part of a loud and proud Gen Z. Uncut and honest we‘re talking about the people you love and the people you lost. The nights where you can dance for hours and the morning after. It’s all about life, love and dancing.

Are there any specific themes or messages that you aim to convey through your music?

Life is too short. Love and live as you like and celebrate yourself for who you are. We all go through similar things and feel the same. No one is perfect. Therefore, be proud of who you are and make this life the greatest of all.
