5 Q&A With Bad Bubble

What was the creative process like for this particular song?

“Sprinkler” was in my bargain bin. A graveyard of sorts where unfinished, abandoned, and not quite right tracks lay. To be honest, I thought it was a zero. I sent it to a friend at random to pass the time. We were bored. She said she loved it and I should reconsider. I did...

Were there any moments in the recording process where you knew you had something special?

No. None whatsoever. “Sprinkler” was a chance thing. I have a few tracks like this...

How does "Sprinkler" fit into your overall artistic vision?

Like everything else, it squeezes itself into the swing of things. I had no idea people would resonate with it like they did...goes to show I don't know what I got!

What were some key milestones in your early career that helped shape who you are as an artist?

That's a good question. I'm rather oblivious. A total airhead. A milestone could quite literally pass me on by and I'll never know it. I'm unorganized, sloppy as shit, & usually unaware most of the time. I don't say that lightly. I mean every word. I sometimes feel this is actually the best way to be in this business. I also keep the bar underground. This way I'm always surprised. I'm really thinking hard to try and remember a key milestone. I suppose the release of Future 9, my debut album was a huge one. That one was a very long time in the coming. Being an artist means something to me. The word is thrown around like a baseball. However, at my house, it's not. That milestone for me set a standard, perhaps not of punctuality, but of being relentless...

How do you hope your music resonates with your audience? What message or feeling do you aim to convey through your vocals?

The answer to that question is one I would like to know as well. I'm telling a point of view. How I look at different things. Consider it a flag I'm waving and just hoping someone sees it before it's too late. I'm running out of time.
