Gal Gadot Says Wonder Woman 3 Is Still Happening

Wonder Woman 3 is still happening, according to Gal Gadot, who portrayed the character in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and had since led her own two standalone Wonder Woman films directed by Patty Jenkins.

When James Gunn and Peter Saran took over the DC Studios, Gadot was working with Jenkins on the third installment. However, the director’s plan was scrapped, which left Gadot’s fate in the DC Universe unknown.

Recently, in support of her new Netflix movie, Heart of Stone, Gadot told ComicBook.com that she is still under the impression of developing the film with Gunn and Saran.

“I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together,” said Gadot.

Gadot appeared in a cameo role in Shazam! Fury of the Gods after Gunn and Saran took over the Studio. However, her similar cameo scene was cut from The Flash. Currently, there’s no official slate for Wonder Woman movie in DC Universe’s Chapter One, “Gods and Monsters.”

On who will pick up Henry Cavill’s torch as Superman, Gadot revealed that she caught a glimpse at the casting. “I saw that they were testing, doing different screen tests, but I don’t know who got it, but it seemed like everyone was super legit and talented and, like, great. So I’m happy for them. It’s such a huge take-on and it’s such an exciting beginning for any actor, and I wish whoever it’s going to be the best of luck and enjoy the ride.”
